Reservation Policies

Half & Full Day Nature Trip Reservations- To book a reservation for both either a Half or Full Day Nature Trip, simply follow our web site’s instructions on placing a booking request and we will confirm with you the booking via email or phone. No deposit is required at this time for half and full day tours.

Multi-Day Nature Trip Reservations- To hold a reservation for a Multi-Day Nature Trip, payment of a 30% deposit of the full trip fee per person is required in advance at least 45 calendar days prior to the start date of the trip requested. Nature Trip must receive the balance of the trip fee at least 15 calendar days prior to the start date of that trip in order to maintain the reservation.

MEGA Trip reservations – each MEGA trip has a unique reservation,cancellation and refund policy. Please see trip description for each tour’s policies in this regard.

Cancellation and Refund Policies

When unforeseen circumstances force a trip participant to cancel their plans, we understand just how disappointing that can be. After all the careful plans have been made, we’re also looking forward to the start of the trip when we get to actually meet the trip participants and the fun begins. Unfortunately for us, there are real costs associated with the plans we make on behalf of the trip participants and this is why we require deposits for the trips themselves. On all trips we may have had to turn others away due to the trip being full. On Multi-Day Trips non-refundable hotel and transportation deposits are due well in advance to our suppliers. We hope that you feel our Cancellation & Refund Policy is fair. If you are unsure of your ability to make the trip, we encourage you to consider purchasing Trip Cancellation Insurance for your protection.

Half and Full Day Trips – At this time we do not require deposits for a half or full day Nature Trip. If you have a confirmed booking for a half or full day Nature Trip and need to cancel for whatever reason, please contact us by phone or email and let us know as soon as you do so that we can offer that time period to others.

Multi- Day Trips – If you cancel your reservation for a Multi-Day Nature Trip no later than 45 days prior to the commencement of the trip, you will be refunded your deposit minus a $100.00 (USD) service charge. If you cancel your reservation for a Multi-Day Nature Trip within 30 days of the commencement of the trip, your deposit will not be refunded but any subsequent payments you have made towards the trip fee will be refunded. If you cancel your reservation for a Multi-Day Nature Trip less than 10 days prior to the commencement of the trip, only monies not previously allocated for your portion of the trip expenses will be refunded. If you are unsure of your ability to make the trip, we encourage you to consider purchasing Trip Cancellation Insurance for your protection.

Nature Trip Customer Internet Privacy Statement

Protecting your privacy is important to us. We hope the following statement will help you
understand how Nature Trip collects, uses and safeguards the personal information you provide to us on our site.

I. Information Collected

We collect customer information in two areas of the Naturetrip.com website:

1. Trip registration.
2. Photography requests.

Note: For your security we DO NOT collect or story ANY credit card information. All credit card information is handled by our secure credit card transaction processor that uses the highest security protocols of the industry (SSL encryption).

II. Who sees the information collected?

Your information is kept in complete confidentiality! We NEVER share your information with any outside organization.

III. Removing your information from our records.

The only information that we cannot erase is the history of credit card transactions (necessary for our financial records).

IV. Customer Inquiries.

We take your privacy seriously. Any customer inquiry should be directed to planatrip@naturetrip.com where it will be promptly answered.

V. Your credit card information is safe.

Due to the highly sensitive nature of credit card information, we DO NOT process or store your credit card information on our servers. All credit card transactions are processed over industry standard SSL 128b encryption directly with our secure credit card transaction processor. The credit card processor site is protected by layers of firewall, security systems and a full time staff of security experts.

Responsibilities

A Release of Claims Form will be provided to each trip participant prior to the start of each trip.

This form must be signed by all trip participants and is a condition of our acceptance of you as a trip participant. For trip participants under the age of 18 a parent or legal guardian must also sign on their release form.

The text of the form will be as follows:

I do hereby waive, on my behalf and that of my heirs, any and all claims against Nature Trip, it’s employees, shareholders, and agents for any death, bodily injury, illness, or loss arising from my voluntary participation in the programs made available to me by Nature Trip, and agree not to bring suit against all or any of them unless such loss, bodily injury, illness or death is due to their direct gross negligence. I agree that neither Nature Trip nor it’s agents will be held liable for any circumstances arising as a result of acts of God, military, political or terrorist act, civil disturbance, force majeure, weather, theft, strikes or annoyance.

During my voluntary participation in programs made available to me by Nature Trip, I accept all risks inherent with those programs including but not limited to the risks of traveling in vehicles, air travel, encounters with wild animals, walking, hiking, swimming and boating. In the absence of gross negligence by Nature Trip, I agree that Nature Trip’s employees, shareholders and agents shall not assume any responsibility, directly or indirectly, for any losses, damage or injury to my person or property, or for expenses arising from negligence of contractors and suppliers that may provide transportation, guides, accommodations, or other travel related services. I further agree that Nature Trip is not responsible for any death, injury or accidents which may occur as a result of acts of any person or carrier of passengers employed or contracted to Nature Trip and that Nature Trip assumes no responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal items including baggage.

As a voluntary trip participant on a Nature Trip program I agree to exercise reasonable care in any activities I participate in and to follow safety directions from trip leaders, guides and drivers. I further understand that due to the unpredictability of weather and locations of wildlife Nature Trip reserves the right to make reasonable changes in itineraries. I also understand that due to the nature of birds, mammals, and other wildlife that neither Nature Trip nor their guides can guarantee viewing of any specific species.

I have read and understand this Release of Claim Form.

This addendum is for trip participants under the age of 18 and requires a signature of a parent or legal guardian.

As a voluntary trip participant on a Nature Trip program my child/children will exercise reasonable care in any activities they participate in and will follow safety directions from trip leaders, guides and drivers.
