Join Nature Trip guides Eddie Bartley and Noreen Weeden plus Golden gate Audubon bird instructor extraordinaire Bob Lewis for an incredible 4 day class focused on the Birds of the Sierra Mountains of California.

Summer in the Sierra is a birder’s dream. Woodpeckers and flycatchers in the forests, American Dippers in the streams, and Sandhill Cranes, American Bitterns, Yellow-headed Blackbirds, Wilson’s Snipe and Swainson’s Hawks in the meadows. The class starts at Yuba Pass at 3 PM on Thursday, and continues at a variety of Sierra birding sites through Sunday noon. The class fee includes:

  • The services of instructors.
  • Six half-day birding adventures.
  • One dinner at the delightful SFS Sierra Campus in Bassetts.
  • One lecture at the SFS campus on Sierra birds.
  • One optional trip to Sierra Valley at night.

Cost: $155 for Golden Gate Audubon members, $175 for non-members. Instructors: Detailed instructions and itinerary will be provided upon registration.  Class is limited to 25 participants; then there will be a waiting list in case any registrants drop out.
